Despite this novel being a work of fiction, it dealt with the very serious issue of child abuse. The descriptions in this book were tastefully done, but it still is definitely not for children. From some online research about the author, I found out that he has experience dealing with cases involving child trafficking, and it shows. More than just a "good guy saves the day" novel, "The Ultimate Evil" has a very important message that deserves to be heard. It's not what I was expecting when I picked it up, but maybe that's a good thing.
