I actually saw this book in a Crossings catalog that was sent to our house, and decided to check it out from the library. The book had a good story and great writing. Parts of it did seem a little inappropriate for a Christian novel, but, there's others I've read that I could say that about, too. What the biography of the author on the back cover said was strange, though. Apparently, the writer had gone from being a church secretary to writing "supernatural fiction," which included at least one "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" novel. I would say "Buffy" doesn't seem very Christian to me, but I could also say the same thing about some of the movies that Tom Shadyac has directed, produced, and/or written, and he claims to be a Christian, so I'm not going to judge either of them. As for the book I read, though, it was good.
