Before this book, I'd only read one selection (not a book, one story *in* a book) from the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series, although I'd been hearing about them since I was in third grade. After this book, I don't think I'll ever try one again. I'll admit that I didn't get into "Idol" until Season 7, but I still expected it to be better than this. The fact that I hadn't heard of most of the people who wrote the stories is forgivable, especially considering that some of them are just fans. The stories were nice, but they were all so similar, they pretty much ran together. It was like reading thirty different accounts of the same story; there wasn't much difference between them. Reading this book was my attempt to get into non-fiction, since I don't read much of it (other than the Bible) and thought I probably should start. After this, though, I might stick to fiction, because this book STUNK!
