Skin: Talking about Sex, Class and Literature

Skin - Dorothy Allison The story was well-written, the plot was engaging, and the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. Still, as you would expect from the subject matter, it was quite creepy. Also, the ending, which I won't give away, was a surprise, but it was bordering on deus ex machina. It was similar to the ending of Dekker's "Thr3e", which was a good novel, or the ending of the Anne Hathaway film "Passengers," which I didn't really care for. Still, when it comes to the Christian fiction genre, Dekker is one of the most talented writers today.
