The Cricket in Times Square
The story was good, and the illustrations were nice; still, this book was somewhat unremarkable. I get that it was written for kids, but my copy says the book was written at a sixth grade reading level. Well, I can tell you right now that my sixth grade classmates would have found a story like this, even if it were a movie, childish and stupid. The story itself seems geared more towards third graders. Still, as a quick read in between sci-fi/fantasy novels, it wasn't bad.
