Like most literate kids born in the past few decades, I enjoyed Judy Blume's "Fudge" series quite a bit when I was in elementary school. I'm pretty sure I read all of the first three novels in the series more than once. "Double Fudge," however, I just read for the first time, because, when it came out, I was a sophomore in high school and had moved on to "Lizzie McGuire" and Nintendo GameCube by that point. When I saw a copy of the fourth "Fudge" novel at a yard sale recently, though, I decided to pick it up. What did I think? Well, the story is well-written and easy to breeze through. It didn't seem to be as good as I remember the older "Fudge" books being, but maybe I've just become older and more cynical. If you fondly remember the adventures of Peter Hatcher like I do, this is most likely worth a read.
