Over the past decade or so, apocalyptic Christian fiction has become quite popular, especially the "Left Behind" series, which in my opinion, is shoddily written, and the only parts of it worth reading are the "End of State" spin-off novels by Neesa Hart and the "LB: Military" quadrilogy by Mel Odom. Terry Craig takes a quite different and decidedly non-Jenkins/LaHaye approach to the end times with her "Fellowship of the Mystery" trilogy, of which "Sojourner" is the second volume. It actually makes for quite riveting reading, especially the last half, and I'm currently aching to read the finale. The only reasons I didn't give this a perfect score were quite a few notable typos--Craig needs to find herself a new editor!--and occasional awkwardness in the prose. I'd recommend reading "Gatekeeper," the first volume in the series, before reading "Sojourner," but it's definitely worth it.
