If all you know about "Star Wars" comes from the theatrical films, you DEFINITELY don't know the whole story. Many events took place before, after, and even in between the movies, and most of those are chronicled in literary form. "Ascension" is set almost four decades since the defeat of Darth Vader, and it's definitely a good entry in the "Fate of the Jedi" series. The story and writing are great, and the ending is particularly shocking. If you've read the other "Fate" books and enjoyed them, you'll probably like this one, too. I wouldn't suggest reading the series out of order, though.
