After I completely fell in love with her "Weddings by Bella" series, Janice Thompson joined the likes of Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, Bodie and Brock Thoene, and Jack McDevitt as one of my favorite authors. "Stars Collide" is much like Thompson's previous works, which isn't a bad thing. It's a great light-hearted tale of a Christian twenty-something in Tinseltown who, despite starring in a well-known sitcom, isn't living "la vida facíl." Plenty of cinematic and "tube"-ular allusions abound, but they're actually quite fun, and quite appropriate given the subject matter. The only complaints I have is that there was some slightly awkward formatting (at least, in the Kindle edition I read via the iPad app) and the ending dragged a bit. Still, for those who love entertainment, especially sitcoms and movies from yesteryear, this is definitely worth your time.
