This book was as well-written as the others, so there's no problem there. However, the story was what got me. First off, those creepy sequences about what that sickness did to that doctor and his whole regeneration thing were just ugly. I would expect that in James Patterson's other series, but stuff like that doesn't belong in "Maximum Ride". Also, there was a little too much drama and not enough action. The battle sequences were great, don't get me wrong, but the stuff about whether or not Max and Fang were leaving the flock sounded like something from "The O.C." (not that I like or even have watched that show.) Maybe I'm just biased, though, because I don't think James Patterson will ever top the third novel in the "MR" series, which was one of the most amazing books I've ever read.
