I wasn't expecting too much from this book, but it actually surprised me. The writing was great, the plot was engaging, and the story was actually quite reminiscient of Disney Channel Original Movies such as "16 Wishes" and "Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars," both of which are among my favorite DCOMs. There were small doses of profanity, alcoholism, and sexual references, but those negative elements only slightly detract from an otherwise wonderful story. I look forward to future novels from Alexandra Bullen.
