I graduated from high school over four years ago, but I still enjoy stories about high schoolers, even now. In fact, I even watch Nickelodeon shows about high school students. That said, some books I've read about/for that age group have been repulsive. I couldn't even finish Madeleine L'Engle's "The Moon by Night" and "A Ring of Endless Light" because of all the drama. That was not the case with this one, though. Despite her faults, Kara is a likable protagonist, and many of us have been through similar struggles. You may find it weird that I read something like this, but I also have songs from the "Camp Rock" films on my iPod, and I went to great effort to get the romcom "Leap Year" onto my iPad. Abnormal, yes, but I like it that way.
