Based on my interactions with neighborhood animals, I'd say I'm more of a cat person than a dog person. So, you'd probably expect I'd like a story like this, and I did. Some of the dialogue was hilarious, especially when the cats brag about how they're much smarter than humans, and prove the opposite in the process. I'd actually been looking for this book for a while; my third grade teacher read it to my class, and, somehow, I missed the ending. Even reading it now, at the age of 22, the last chapter completely surprised me. This book is not something that is likely to stick with you; it's a good story, and it's well-written, but it's also quite forgettable. If you like cats, though, you'll probably like this story, and, if you've ever had a cat, you might see some of your pet's traits echoed by the felines in this book.
