I used to not be a fan of historical fiction, but, after reading wonderful novels in that genre by authors such as Bodie and Brock Thoene, Jim Walker, and Gilbert Morris, I realized how good they were. Noreen Riols' "Where Hope Shines Through" was in the same league. A good story, likable characters, and an ending that will make you demand the next installment in the series. The only problem was the usage of terms that were defined in a glossary in the back of the book. It would have been easier if footnotes have been used, but that's only a minor complaint.
