Although this book wasn't bad, it's second only to "The Haunting of Hathaway House" as the worst "Wishbone" book (other than ones from the "Wishbone Classics" series) that I've ever read. Both the "real" and classic stories are well-written; it just seems like the story with Joe, Sam and David was given the short shrift to make room for the Mark Twain adaptation. They should have made this one of the "Super Adventures" so the author would have had more space to tell the story about the school newsletters. If you're a "Wishbone" fan, you might like this; still, most of the others I've read were much better than this.
